So you’re thinking of being part of a case study? Good on you!
You probably have a few questions, right? The first, and most important, being “why should I be part of a case study?”

Hi, I’m Clare Hastings, a freelance content writer specialising in B2B technology. I’m a trained journalist so I know how to make interviews professional yet relaxing. I’ve interviewed hundreds of people from all walks of life, and love getting to the heart of the story.
My clients are mainly tech companies, but I like to keep my case studies “human”.
I’m less interested in the technical nuts and bolts and more interested in how the technology made a difference to YOU and YOUR TEAM.
I have a simple 5 step process for writing case studies. This keeps your time commitment to a minimum and makes sure we produce a fabulous case study.
Choose a time from my instant booking system. Your booking is automatically sent to your calendar.
Send me any stats you have about the results you’ve achieved e.g. 50% growth in revenue, call waiting times reduced by 2 minutes.
I’ll send you the questions I’m planning to cover so you can prepare in advance and run them by your comms team if needed.
30 minute interview via zoom where we’ll go through the questions I sent.
Your opportunity to review your quotes and make sure all details are captured correctly.
All up I will need around one hour of your time to review questions, do the interview and approve the finished case study
If you don’t have hard numbers to share, no problem. We can focus on other aspects like improving efficiency, the impact it had on your team, or productivity gains.
An important part of my case study process is speaking to people – I’ve found this is the only way to discover the “real” impact a product or service has had. You are welcome to send responses via email but we’ll still need a short interview to dig a bit deeper into your responses.
Yes, it will but it is purely for my own use. Basically, I can’t type and listen at the same time!
Nothing will be ever published without your permission. If you’re not happy with a quote or if I’ve misheard a detail (it happens), just let me know and we can fix it.
In most cases the case study will be published on my client’s website and promoted via their social media channels (which is great exposure for your brand!). Occasionally they may use it in a marketing or PR campaign but best to check with them if this is a concern.
Here are some examples of case studies I’ve written for other brands so you can see what the finished product might look like.
